Danger Danger...Chocolate Goodness!

Danger! Extreme chocolatey goodness to follow! Ok, so today I found this recipe for a Texas Sheet Cake, it's just a chocolate cake...Ok, JUST a chocolate cake is a HUGE understatement! It is completely divine... I am never going to lose the pregnancy weight with all this tasty baking and cooking I have been doing!
....it's worth it, lol. Follow the link below for the chocolate cake heaven!

This pic is from the link above!
I will be adding pics of my cake in a bit!
I am now off to do my first comission project, 2 wizard wands, coming right up!

 Until then.....Ciao!

Trial Runs :)

Alrighty! So today I got the chance to finish up 2 of the 3 projects I started yesterday! Now with this being the first time I've used cold porcelain clay, I have found that when I attempt to make charms next, there are a few changes to be made. Enjoy the pics below!
Also, I am adding a link that has nothing to do with crafy goodness, but is just a really good read in general.

Charms

This little guy already has n intended home :)

I actually really like these, they will have a necklace to go with them!
I will update with the necklace tomorrow and hopefully get started on some new fun projects!

Until then....Ciao!

Wands and Whimsy!

My household is full of fun, love, magic and imagination, and as such, it wouldn't be surprising to find a wand or two kicking around. Now the 2 that you will see in the picture are just some random ones that I decided to try out, now that I know how extremely easy and fun they are to do, I will be making some awesome ones for my little Wizard and Witch. ;) I foresee some awesome themed parties in our future, lol.

The following link is the tutorial that I loosely followed as I made the project my own and made some changes. It is a fantastic tutorial though for those just starting out!

In the beginning stages

Finished Wands!

Defiantly a fun little project!

Next on the menu of crafty goodness for today was some jewelery! Now I haven't actually finished with this yet, as the charms I am making need to dry for a fair amount of time for best results.

I am however, going to post a pic of the ones I am working on in there most basic stage. There are 2 necklace charms ( the owl and maple leaf) and then the 2 smaller leaves will be the earrings to the leaf necklace!

There you go, a sneak peek! I will likely finish them late tonight or tomorrow, until then....

Ciao!

Birds Nest in the wee hours..

My little man decided tonight was going to be a late night for us, so I took the opportunity to try out something I've seen a time or two on the internet.

Birds Nest charms for earrings or necklaces. Turns out they are so amazingly easy to make!

So there you have it! 3 Birds Nest charms that I made in about 30 mins tonight. The one on my ankle was just to show it on a hemp braid to get an idea of how it would look! Easy, fun, pretty & inexpensive, what more could a girl ask for!
Now I think it's time for bed, til next time...Ciao!

From the Beginning!

So I've always wanted to start a blog, but I was never really good at keeping up with posting and never had anything interesting overly to post about! Now, that I am doing crafts and projects daily with and for my beautiful kids and family, I finally have something to post (and brag a little) about!

First off, about a week ago I came across this great idea to make Unicorn Poop! Here are the results of our magical poopies!

Giant Crayons

Today I decided that instead of always finding crayons in odd places around the house or stepping on them and almost bailing or crushing them....I would make giant crayons!

Viola! Giant crayons for all to enjoy, lol.

P and Daddy, testing out the new crayons

They double well as building blocks!
