Little P turns 2, Cookie Monster Style!

Yesterday was the much anticipated Cookie Monster Birthday Party for my beautiful little P. Our little girl is now 2 years old and she had a great celebration to celebrate.

So the party was to start off at 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon, and indeed that is when it started, and as guests started showing up everyone was happy and smiling and ready for a good time...except the birthday girl!

P brought a new face to the line " It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!"  She can get a little overwhelmed easily sometimes and today happened to be one of those times. Luckily once Papa and Gramma got there, Papa got Little P to calm down and in the end she had a great day!

With gifts, cake, playing with her friends and family, P had a great day and to those of you who do read my blog and were at her birthday, many thank you for helping make her day wonderful, we love you all so much! To those who couldn't make, we love you to and missed you!

Anyways, we did P's party all Cookie Monster themed! I was up til 4:30am the night before the party getting everything set up and in place...and sure enough, T decided to wake up for the day at 7...I was so ready for bed at the end of the day!

Hi All!

So today is just a quick post about a fun little craft that I did with technically the whole family! 4 Canvas done in 2 different colors, a little bit of hemp string and some fun colored push pins! This is currently hanging in the kids bathroom downstairs...which is also why one of them is hanging crooked...little fingers.. lol, must go fix!

I made a dress!!! :D

OK, so I finished my first sewing project since I was in Jr.high! Now that may not seem like a big deal, but to me, it is! I made a Pillowcase Dress for my daughters 2nd birthday this Sunday. Although, I didn't use a pillowcase...or measure anything... I pretty much just winged it ! (Which is also why there is no tutorial..) I just went out and bought 2 yards of fabric that I liked, I have tons to spare now, lol and I bought some thin blue ribbon for the straps.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, her birthday is going to be all Cookie Monster themed, so I did a blue dress with black polka dots and ironed on a number 2! ( This is the first time I have used an iron...don't judge me! lol) I wanted to add some cookies to the dress but had no luck finding any iron on ones, but I am still super happy with her dress.

Her name was Roxiana and she lived to the old age of 11...she was a beautiful German Shepard/Border Collie Cross and was an extremely well loved and loving friend.

Fab Fun with Shoes & Mothers Day!

Alrighty! So today was Mothers Day and I have to say, I had a really great day! I started my day with my 2 little munchkins at 5:30am this morning and watched while they played peek-a-boo and chased each other around my room, laughing and scream the whole time. I then had a super tasty breakfast cooked for my by my hubby, eggs in a heart basket with fresh chives from the garden! Mmmmm....

SO tasty!

After breakfast we went outside and got the pools set up, the toys out and we were set for a day of fun in the sun!

Needless to say it was a great day! I also got a GC to enjoy a spa treat next weekend! Now just trying to decide between a pedicure or a massage!

I also wanted to post pics of the little project I did for my Mom for Mothers Day. She had a great love for birds of every shape and form, so I decided to do a custom bird house! Check it out! I think she liked it. :)

Next up, my first pair of hand stained canvas shoes! I bought the Sharpie Stain pens and tested them out, I was actually really happy with how they turned out! What do you think?!

Birthday Banner and Beltane Pot!

Hello everyone, sorry for my lack of posting! I am finding that with the warm weather comes busy, activity filled days and I don't always think at the end of the day to blog. So here is a little update as to what I have been up to!

Well to start with, May 1st is a holiday in the Pagan world, it is Beltane. For those of you who are not sure what Beltane is, check out the link below for a quick explanation.

Annnyways, so my daughter and I decorated a gardening pot together! We are going to plant Chives in this little pot and watch them grow! We also may have set out some milk for the wee folk ;)

I had to fix the letters after it was all dry, they drooped!

Next, on to the banner I am doing for my daughters birthday at the end of the month. Be forewarned, there will be an abnormal amount of posts containing Cookie Monster related goodies! lol. I was originally going to do a basic blue bunting banner with her letters and some cookies but then I decided to do something alittle more fun. Using on of my fav editing sites ( http://pizap.com/ )

I went in and did each letter of her name and a Cookie Monster pic! I still have to string them all together with blue ribbon but it looks pretty sweet!

Pretty cool eh?! I SO can't wait to set up her birthday! Anyways, I best be off, I do actually have another project done and ready to post but I can't until after Mothers Day! ;)
